For a club strapping a full squad every Saturday, this is the adhesive underwrap in a carton of 24 rolls, 50mm x 10m each. It is the same self-adhesive base layer that goes under the rigid tape, bought in the quantity a busy training room actually gets through in a season.
Each roll sticks to the skin on its own, so the rigid strap grips the underwrap rather than gripping the player. That takes the firmer tape adhesive off the skin and makes the strapping easier to get off after the game. The material is porous, so air and sweat pass through instead of sitting trapped under the wrap. The 50mm width is the everyday size for wrists, thumbs, ankles and smaller joints, which is why the box comes in that one width.
Buying the box of 24 keeps the bench stocked without reordering every few weeks, and it sits alongside the rigid tape and spray a club kits out with. It is a comfort and skin-protection layer, not a support in its own right, so the holding job stays with the rigid or elastic tape over the top. If you only need a roll or two for a kit bag, the single-roll adhesive underwrap covers that instead.
Straptor is Australian owned and run, dispatched nationally and stocked at the East Bendigo walk-in, with phone advice from people who strap tape themselves. Club and bulk orders go out the same way, so a season's underwrap can land in one delivery.

What's in the box
- 24 rolls of adhesive underwrap, each 50mm x 10m, white
Usage
Apply a length of the underwrap over the area you plan to strap, smoothing it onto the skin so the adhesive takes hold. Because it sticks on its own, you do not need a spray or a separate anchor to hold it in place. Strap the rigid or elastic tape over the top as normal, then cut or unwind the tape and the underwrap together at the end of play.
Care and storage
Store the box somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun. Keep unused rolls in their wrapper between games so the adhesive stays clean.
Common questions
How many rolls are in the box? Twenty-four rolls, each 50mm x 10m, so a club has enough to strap a squad through a run of games.
What does adhesive underwrap do? It goes on the skin first as a base, so the rigid tape grips the underwrap rather than sticking straight to the player. That takes the firmer tape adhesive off the skin and makes the strapping easier to get off afterwards.
Why only the 50mm width? 50mm is the everyday size for wrists, thumbs, ankles and smaller joints, so it is the width a club gets through most. Wider rolls are stocked separately for knees and larger areas.
Do I have to buy the full box? No. Single rolls are stocked for a kit bag; the box of 24 is for a club or training room going through it every week.
Does it support the joint on its own? No. It is a skin-protection base layer. The support comes from the rigid or elastic tape you strap over it.
Run these rolls under the rigid strapping tape a club straps with, or see the full Straptor tape range. If you only need one or two rolls rather than the carton, there is the single-roll adhesive underwrap. It is stocked with the spray and sideline accessories a training room kits out with, and there is a run-through of taping an ankle over an underwrap base in the taping guides.
