Ordinary flat tape gives up fast on a finger or toe, and that's exactly where this open-weave tubular gauze earns its place. It slides over the finger, toe or limb and holds a dressing in position, then sits neatly under a layer of strapping. Trainers reach for it when a player needs a dressing to stay put through a full game.
The gauze comes in six widths, so the size matches the body part rather than bunching or sliding. The smallest at 0.8cm suits small fingers and toes, 1.8cm covers most fingers and toes, and 2.5cm bulk-dresses a finger. From there, 4.0cm fits a child's limb, 6.5cm an adult limb, and 8.5cm a larger limb. Each pack holds one metre, which you cut to the length the job needs.
It's an entirely cotton, open-weave bandage, light enough to wear under a glove or boot without adding bulk. The weave breathes, the tubular shape holds itself in place, and there are no clips or knots to dig in. Applicators for fingers and toes make it quicker to roll on, and those are sold separately.
Straptor is Australian owned, and the tubular gauze sits alongside the strapping tape, underwrap and recovery gear a trainer's bag runs on, so you can stock the whole kit in one go. There's a Bendigo walk-in counter and phone advice from people who actually strap tape if you're unsure which width to order.

Usage
Choose the width that matches the body part, roll the gauze over the finger, toe or limb, and it holds a light dressing in place. It works on its own or as a first layer under adhesive strapping, so the dressing doesn't shift when the tape goes over the top. Cut what you need from the metre and keep the rest for next time.
Care and storage
Store it in the pack somewhere dry and out of direct sun. Treat it as single-use once it has been on the skin. Kept dry and sealed, cotton gauze has a long shelf life.
Common questions
What does tubular gauze do? It's a light open-weave sleeve that holds a dressing in place on a spot flat tape struggles with, like a finger, toe or the length of a limb, and it sits neatly under strapping.
Which size do I need? Match the width to the body part: the smaller sizes suit fingers and toes, the mid sizes a bulk-dressed finger or a child's limb, and the larger sizes an adult or larger limb. If you're between sizes or ordering for a squad, call and we'll help you sort it before you buy.
Does it come with an applicator? No, the finger and toe applicators are sold separately.
Australian owned. This is a light retention bandage that holds a dressing in place; it is not sold as a wound treatment and makes no therapeutic claim. If an injury needs proper dressing or review, see a health professional. For the wider kit, see the recovery and rehab range.
