A 207cm aluminium-alloy pole stretcher that folds in half lengthways, so it stores flat in a kit room or the boot of a car and comes out ready when someone goes down. It carries up to 160kg on a durable fabric bed strung between two rigid poles, and it is built for moving an injured or unwell person off the field to where they can be assessed.
The single-fold design is the value pick in the rescue range: one hinge across the middle, two alloy poles and a fabric bed rated to a 160kg weight limit. Rubber-covered carry handles give four people a firm grip, and rubber-guarded feet let it sit on the ground without sliding while a patient is loaded or moved. Open, it measures 207cm x 54cm x 13cm, long enough for an adult and narrow enough to carry through a gate or a clubroom door.
A stretcher like this is for trained first aiders, sports trainers and club volunteers who know safe lifting and casualty handling. It moves a person; it does not immobilise, treat or assess them, so a suspected spinal or serious injury still needs the right board, collar and trained hands, plus a call to emergency services.
Straptor is Australian owned and stocks the rescue kit next to the strapping tape and first aid a club already buys, with phone advice from people who know the gear and a walk-in counter in East Bendigo. Browse the rest of the stretchers and rescue range to match the fold and size to your setup.

Usage
Unfold the stretcher fully and check the centre hinge is flat and secure before any load goes on it. With trained help, position and load the patient using a safe lifting technique, then carry with one person on each handle. Fold it back in half lengthways to pack it away. Use it for transport only, and call emergency services for any serious or suspected spinal injury.
Care and storage
Wipe the poles and fabric clean after use and let them dry before folding away. Store flat or folded in a dry kit room, out of direct sun. Check the hinge, handles and fabric bed for wear before each season and before any event where it might be needed.
Common questions
How many people does it take to carry? Four is the safe standard, one on each of the rubber-covered handles, so the load and the lift are shared.
What is the weight limit? The fabric bed is rated to 160kg.
Does it pack down? It folds in half lengthways to a compact load that stores flat in a kit room or a car boot.
Is it a spine board? No. It is a transport stretcher for moving a casualty, not an immobilisation device. A suspected spinal injury needs a spine board, a collar and trained handling.
Carried rescue equipment for patient transport only: it is not a treatment, immobilisation or diagnostic device, and no claim is made that it prevents or reduces injury. For use by trained first aiders and sports trainers who know safe casualty handling. Straptor is Australian owned and run.
