One reusable gel pack that switches between hot and cold, so a trainer or a player has both options on the bench without carrying two products. Chill it in the freezer for cold, warm it in the microwave or hot water for heat, and it stays flexible enough to wrap around a knee or shoulder either way. It comes in two sizes.
Body Assist makes this as a single pack that covers both jobs a change room needs from cold and from heat. Cold and heat each have their place around training and games, and heat suits stiff, tight muscles before a session or the morning after one. Treat it as the kit that gives a change room both hot and cold options in one pack; how and when you use them is a physiotherapist's call.
Two sizes cover most of the body. The 13cm x 25cm pack suits a knee, elbow, ankle or wrist; the 20cm x 30cm pack suits a back, shoulder, thigh or hip where you want more coverage. The gel stays flexible when frozen, so it moulds to the joint instead of sitting on it as a rigid block, and it is built to be reused across many sessions rather than thrown out after one. A cloth cover bag is included so the pack sits against skin through a layer of fabric.
Straptor stocks this alongside the wider recovery range, so a club can add it to a tape and accessories order in one go. You get national dispatch, phone advice from people who know the range, and the East Bendigo walk-in if you would rather pick it up. For where it sits in the recovery kit, see the recovery and rehab range, and for the full cold and heat line-up, the hot and cold therapy packs.

Usage
For cold use, put the pack in the freezer for at least 2.5 hours, or drop it into heavily iced water until it is cold enough. Dry it off, then wrap it in a towel or slip it into the cover before it goes against skin. For heat in the microwave, sit the pack in a microwave-safe container of water and heat on medium for up to 60 seconds, then check it and add heat in 15-second bursts until it is warm enough. To heat by boiling, bring 3 to 4 litres of water to the boil, take it off the heat, and immerse the pack for up to 10 minutes before drying and wrapping it. Always put a layer between the pack and skin, and never apply it straight from the freezer or hot water without the towel or cover.
Care and storage
Let the pack return to room temperature between uses. Keep the cloth cover clean and dry, and store the pack flat away from sharp edges.
Common questions
Can one pack really do both hot and cold? Yes. The same pack goes in the freezer for cold or the microwave or hot water for heat, so you are not buying two products.
Which size should I choose? The 13cm x 25cm pack suits smaller joints like a knee, elbow, ankle or wrist. The 20cm x 30cm pack suits larger areas like a back, shoulder, thigh or hip.
Does it come with a cover? Yes, a cloth cover bag is included so you can sit it against skin through fabric rather than putting the pack straight on.
Is it reusable? Yes, it is made to be chilled or heated and used again across many sessions.
Made by Body Assist and stocked by Straptor, Australian owned and run. Hot and cold use is described here as change-room practice, not as a treatment the pack delivers on its own: it gives a change room both hot and cold options, and how and when you use them is a physiotherapist's call. Always keep a towel or the cover between the pack and skin.
