New boots on a pre-season run, a rower's grip, a long day on the sideline: skin rubs, a hotspot flares, and the session gets cut short. These small hydrogel squares sit over that hotspot and take the friction off the skin, so the rub lands on the square instead of the skin. The pack holds 200 squares, around 2.5cm each.
The gel is water-based, so it cushions the spot where the skin has gone hot and sore from rubbing. Each square is single-use: peel one, place it over the hotspot before or during activity, and it takes the load off that patch of skin. At about 2.5cm they suit the common friction points, heels, toes, the ball of the foot, or a hand where a grip rubs. Two hundred to a pack is enough to keep a season of sideline kits stocked or cover a busy training group.
For a club trainer these live in the bag next to the tape and underwrap, so a rubbing boot gets sorted on the bench instead of sidelining a player. Order through Straptor and your tape, recovery gear and these squares come in the one delivery, from an Australian-owned business you can ring for advice. We keep them stocked for national dispatch and at the East Bendigo walk-in.

Common questions
What are they for? Friction and rubbing hotspots, the spots where boots, kit or a grip rub the skin raw. You put a square on the hotspot so the rub lands on the square instead of the skin.
How big are they and how many do you get? Each square is about 2.5cm, and there are 200 in a pack, so they suit a shared sideline kit or a training group.
Are they reusable? No. Each square is single-use. Peel a fresh one when you need it.
Do they treat a blister that has already come up? No. They cushion a rubbing hotspot, they are not a wound dressing. For a blister that has opened, or skin that is not settling, see a pharmacist or physio.
