Tubular bandages are the stretch sleeves and gauze wraps a trainer reaches for when a strapping job needs holding rather than locking a joint down. They slide over a finger, wrist, knee or calf without pins or adhesive, quick to get on at the sideline and easy to take off after the game.

The elasticated tubular form bandage comes in lettered sizes, A through G, so you match the width to the limb rather than bunching a wrap around it. Tubular gauze and the open-weave net bandage do a lighter job, holding a dressing or cold pack over an awkward spot where flat tape will not sit. A gauze applicator pulls the tubular gauze on over a finger or toe.

A tubular bandage used this way gives light, even support across a joint and holds a dressing or ice pack in place, without the pull of adhesive on the skin.
