Introducing Ebony Prior – Straptor’s Newest Sponsored Athlete

We’re thrilled to welcome Ebony Prior, rising NRLW star, as the newest member of the Straptor team!

Ebony’s journey to the top level of Rugby League is nothing short of inspiring. Growing up in Penrith, she first found her passion for the game through touch football and Oztag, before making the leap into Rugby League at 17. Her natural talent and determination quickly saw her rise through the ranks, playing her junior footy through both the Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers development systems – from Tarsha Gale Cup all the way to the NRLW.

In 2023, Ebony made her NRLW debut for the Wests Tigers, the club she grew up supporting – a dream come true for a young girl from Penrith who used to cheer them on from the stands. She proudly pulled on the Tigers jersey for two seasons, cementing her place as a dynamic and exciting player to watch.

Looking ahead, Ebony has signed with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, and she’s already loving the new chapter.

But Ebony’s story goes beyond stats and game time. She’s proof that size doesn’t define success in Rugby League.
