Meet Liam – Our Newest Sponsored Straptor Athlete

We’re proud to welcome Liam to the Straptor family as our newest sponsored athlete!

Liam’s journey in netball began later than most—he picked up the game socially at 19, but his rapid rise to the elite level is a testament to his talent, work ethic, and passion for the sport. Within just a year, he was representing the NSW Open Men's team and helped secure back-to-back national titles in 2017 and 2018.

Since 2017, Liam has been a core member of the NSW Men’s Netball setup, securing three national titles and earning selection as captain of the Under-23 Australian side in 2018.

In 2022, Liam was a member of the Australian Kelpies, starting at Centre in the first-ever televised Men's Netball International. He’s remained a vital part of the squad, playing a key role in the Kelpies’ dominance in the Trans-Tasman Cup, with series victories over New Zealand in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Most recently, Liam led the Kelpies as captain on their successful UK tour, where they defeated the England Thorns 3-0 in the Aurora Series held in London and Nottingham. His leadership and performance earned him the prestigious Player of the Series award.

Liam also brings flair and speed to the Australian Fast5 team, which he has captained in 2024 . Under his leadership, the team won the 2024 Fast5 World Series in Christchurch, showing the world the strength and style of Australian men’s netball.
