Team Straptor Welcomes Meg: Our Newest Sponsored Athlete

Team Straptor is proud to welcome Meg, a dynamic 24-year-old Australian basketball talent, as our newest sponsored athlete. Currently competing with the Newcastle Falcons in NBL1 East, Meg brings strength, versatility, and an uncompromising work ethic to the court.

Meg’s journey is already an impressive one. After several years in the United States playing NCAA Division I basketball, she returned home to Australia and signed with the UC Capitals for the 2024/25 WNBL season. She has also competed in NBL1 East with both the Hills Hornets and now the Falcons, continuing to establish herself as a powerful presence in the forward/centre position.

Before turning pro, Meg’s collegiate career saw her compete at two standout programs—the University of Virginia in the ACC, one of the premier conferences in women’s college basketball, and later the University of Hawai‘i, where she continued to refine her game and leadership.

Her representative résumé is equally strong, having worn the NSW Metro colours across U16, U18, and U20 levels. Meg is also an accomplished 3×3 athlete, winning gold at the Oceania Championships and helping her squad qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Championships in Doha.

Off the court, Meg is passionate about health, the environment, and empowering young women in sport—values that resonate strongly with Team Straptor’s mission.

We’re thrilled to support Meg as she continues to elevate her game and inspire the next generation of athletes. Welcome to Team Straptor!
